WHAT THE EDC23 GIVES YOU

It disappears in your pocket

The flat profile and 101g weight carry against your leg or under a belt without printing, so it stays on you through a full day instead of being left in a drawer.

You always know your runtime

The OLED reads out the live output and the exact time left at that level, so a fading battery is something you see coming rather than discover in the dark.

2,500 lumens on tap

A half-press on the mode button jumps straight to the full 2,500-lumen Turbo and a 280-metre reach, ready the instant an ordinary night turns into a problem.

Built like a tool

Stainless steel and carbon fibre replace the thin aluminium of most compacts, so it shrugs off pocket carry, a footwell or a 2-metre drop.

All-day runtime in a small light

The built-in 1,500mAh cell holds more than most lights this size, giving up to 39 hours on Ultralow and a full shift at working levels.

Safe in a bag, ready in the hand

A one-slide Rapid Lock and two lockout modes keep it dark in storage, then unlock for instant Turbo and Strobe the moment you need them.

EDC23 - 13.5mm slim profile next to a conventional 25.4mm compact flashlight - Nitecore Singapore

Half the thickness, so it actually goes everywhere.

At 13.5mm thick the EDC23 is around half the width of a conventional compact light, and at 102.8mm long it is roughly 27 percent shorter too. It lies flat in a trouser pocket, sits clean under a duty belt, and rides a shirt placket without printing.

At 101g it carries like a folding knife rather than a torch, which is the difference between a light you take and a light you leave behind.

EDC23 - multifunctional OLED real-time display showing level, voltage, runtime and lockout - Nitecore Singapore

A real-time OLED readout, so you always know where you stand.

The multifunctional OLED shows the active brightness level and live lumen output, the battery voltage, the runtime remaining at the current setting, and the power left in the cell. One glance tells you whether you have ten minutes or ten hours before a top-up.

It also shows the lockout state, so you can confirm the light is safe before it goes in a pocket. The panel uses a thickened, shock-resistant design to take the daily knocks.

EDC23 - advanced sandwich construction with stainless steel shells, carbon-fibre frame and aluminium heat plate - Nitecore Singapore

Built like a tool, not a gadget.

Stainless steel front and rear shells wrap a high-strength carbon-fibre reinforced frame, with an aluminium heat-dissipation plate down the centre. The sandwich stays rigid against compression, twisting and bending, and resists the scratches that come with pocket carry.

A PVD titanium coating keeps the finish looking sharp far longer than anodised aluminium would on a body this slim.

WHY THE EDC23 OVER A STANDARD POCKET LIGHT

A readout, not a guess

Most pocket lights tell you nothing until they fade in your hand. The OLED shows live output and the exact runtime left, so a dying battery is never a mid-task surprise.

Slim enough to forget

A 13.5mm profile sits flat where a 25mm tube bulges and rolls off a table. It carries every day because you stop noticing it, which is the whole point of an EDC light.

Tool-grade materials

A steel and carbon-fibre sandwich with a PVD titanium finish resists scratches and stays rigid against twisting and bending, where a typical compact relies on thin aluminium and plastic.

Safe hot or locked

Dual lockout, ATR thermal regulation and a Sensor Protection function keep it dark in storage and step power down before it can overheat against a pocket lining.

2,500 lumens and a 280-metre reach from a UHi 25 LED.

Twin NiteLab UHi 25 LEDs push 2,500 lumens on Turbo and throw a usable beam to 280 metres, which is a long reach for a light that hides in a shirt pocket. The beam runs clean and even, so faces, plates and detail read true.

Five output levels cover the work, from a 15-lumen Ultralow that runs 39 hours up to the full Turbo burst, with a momentary Strobe on the mode button for a fast deterrent.

EDC23 - NiteLab UHi 25 supreme white LED with ultra-mini light emitting surface - Nitecore Singapore

A clean, accurate white from the NiteLab UHi 25.

The UHi 25 uses a 2.26mm ultra-mini emitting surface, which is how a light this thin still concentrates a 280-metre beam. A low 4.7 SDCM colour tolerance keeps the white consistent across the beam.

That accuracy matters when you are reading a label, checking skin colour on a patient, or matching a number plate, where a green or blue cast would slow you down.

EDC23 - M-TURBO dual two-stage tactical buttons interface - Nitecore Singapore

M-TURBO dual two-stage controls, worked by feel.

Two two-stage tactical buttons sit under the thumb. On the power button a half-press steps through brightness, a half-press and hold gives momentary low light, and a full press is on and off.

The mode button puts a half-press straight to Turbo and a full press straight to Strobe, so maximum output and the strobe are one positive press away in a tense moment.

EDC23 - brightness level preset function with operator scanning a warehouse - Nitecore Singapore

Preset the brightness before you switch on.

Half-press the power button to set the level before the light is even on, so it comes up at exactly the output the moment calls for. A soft glow to check a map without killing your night vision, or full power the instant a search starts.

The custom setting also keeps a harsh glare off close work during everyday use.

EDC23 - Rapid Lock mini slide switch for one-slide lock and unlock - Nitecore Singapore

Rapid Lock, lock or unlock in one slide.

A mini slide switch sized to the slim body locks and unlocks the light in a single motion, with no twist or button combination to remember. Slide it to lock for safe carry, slide it back for instant response when a moment matters.

The OLED confirms the lock state, so you are never left guessing whether the light is ready or locked out.

EDC23 - dual lockout modes, semi lock and full lock shown on the OLED - Nitecore Singapore

Two lockout modes for carry or storage.

Semi Lock disables the power button while keeping Turbo and Strobe live on the mode button, so the light is safe against accidental presses yet still ready for instant use between rounds.

Full Lock disables both buttons for transport and long-term storage, so the light never fires by accident in a bag and never drains itself before you need it.

EDC23 - built-in 1500mAh Li-ion battery delivering up to 39 hours runtime - Nitecore Singapore

1,500mAh built in, for up to 39 hours.

A built-in 1,500mAh Li-ion cell holds more capacity than most lights this size, which is how the EDC23 reaches 39 hours on Ultralow and still serves a full shift at working levels.

USB-C charging tops it from empty to full in about 1 hour 30 minutes from a 5V/2A source, from the same charger and power bank your phone uses, so a quick charge between calls keeps it ready.

EDC23 - dual temperature control with ATR module and semi-embedded aluminium heat plate - Nitecore Singapore

Stays comfortable in the hand under load.

An Advanced Temperature Regulation module and a semi-embedded aluminium heat plate ease output back as the body warms during long high-output use, so the EDC23 stays comfortable to hold even after a long run on High.

A Sensor Protection function watches the front of the light. If it switches to High while pressed against fabric or a pocket lining, output steps down on its own to prevent overheating where you cannot see it.

EDC23 - large lanyard hole compatible with 4mm 550 paracord and detachable clip - Nitecore Singapore

Carry it the way you work.

A large lanyard hole takes 4mm 550 paracord for a wrist loop or a kit-bead attachment, and the detachable pocket clip rides flush so the light sits low and quick to draw.

Clip it inside a pocket, on a vest or to a pack strap, and it stays put until you reach for it.

EDC23 - IP54 dust and water resistance with 2 metre impact resistance in the rain - Nitecore Singapore

Ready for dust, rain and drops.

The EDC23 is rated IP54 against dust and splashing water and survives a 2-metre drop onto a hard floor, so a sudden shower or a knock off a bench is a non-event.

It is sealed for everyday weather rather than submersion, which is exactly the protection an EDC light needs day to day.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Can I use the EDC23 while it is charging?

It is built for charge-then-carry rather than running on the cable. Plug it into the USB-C port to refill the built-in 1,500mAh battery, which takes about 1 hour 30 minutes on a 5V/2A source, then unplug and head out. A quick top-up from a power bank between uses keeps it ready.

How accurate is the runtime shown on the OLED?

The screen calculates the time remaining from the current battery level and the brightness you are running, and updates as you change levels, so it reflects your real usage rather than a fixed estimate. The output figures it works from are measured to the ANSI/PLATO FL1 standard, and actual runtime shifts a little with ambient temperature.

Why did the brightness drop on its own?

Two systems can ease output back. ATR lowers it as the body warms during long high-output use and restores it as the light cools. Sensor Protection steps it down if the front is pressed against fabric on High, to prevent overheating in a pocket. Clear the obstruction or let it cool and full output returns.

Customer Reviews

Overall rating: 4.9 / 5 from 93 reviews.

Easy to held on as it's compact, at the same time, easy to keep when not in use.

Size and weight is really spot on for carrying around. Only thing is the half press and full press for the on off buttons took me a while to figure it out. The turbo and strobe effects really heats up the light. Remember not to use it for too long.

Performance:light shoot out very powerful and pocket size Suitability:travel, everyday use and security Quality:battey life and lumens level shows clearly on the small display

I’ve always hated tail switch flashlights but somehow this one completely changed my mind. It’s a great weight and size for the pocket and is designed perfectly. Built well and battery is also pretty decent just wouldn’t recommend long consistent periods of use on the 200 or 1,100 lumens as it will drain it. It’s my daily carry with the rovyvon aurora A7 as a backup.

Amazing Nitecore service reception respond ❤️ Support Nitecore, love it 🫰🏻😘

I bought the EDC23 to compliment my needs of the UT27 Pro. I love the EDC23. Light in weight and fits nicely into my palm whilst running. It is very bright too. Holding it in my hand whilst running actually helps in my cadence. Once, I forgotten to bring my UT27 Pro headlamp out for a run and only had the EDC23 with me and I did a trail run with just the EDC23. Highly recommended.

Performance:very powerful for a palm sized torch. Quality:soild

You may ask yourself, do I really need a $60 flashlight? Well the answer is yes. It will be the last flashlight you ever buy. It is blindingly bright if you want it to be or just a faint dim if needed as well. It’s easy to pocket, holds charge a lonnnng time and has a freaking video screen. I personally collect small high end flashlights and this is without a doubt my favorite now.

Performance:max brightness is super bright Quality:the build and case is superb Had a similar EDC23 from China but lasted only 11 months. Lets see how long this Singapore one last.

Super compact, lightweight, and fits easily in my pocket or bag. The brightness is impressive for its size, and the USB-C charging makes it super convenient on the go. Great for late-night walks, power outages, or travel . Highly recommended for anyone who wants a reliable, portable light!

This little fella is so bright. Fits in the pocket. Will bring it along for travels. Simply love it.

The device is slim and compact, easy to use and many modes available. I like it very much.

I love my EDC27 but have always finds it abit too long. EDC23 in its small package size, fits perfectly in hands and in my bag. Not to mention the quick lock out switch, make life so much easier. 23 is now travelling the world with me!

Strong and powerful Lights, light weight and easy to conceal

Nitcore doesn't disappoint as always. Happy with my purchase. EDC23 gets the job done. Not my my first purchase and also will not be my last purchase.

Easy to use while working

The battery is good however the brightness cannot be too high and the whole torch will be hot and you can't even hold it.

The Lanyard Can Be Abit Thinner In order To Be Able To Slot Into The Opening Easily Or Either The Spacing For The Lanyard The Acess Could Be Slightly Bigger…

Tiny but powerful, excellent for work and travel.

Great compact size. Very bright. Intuitive controls and one-hand operation. I really like it.

an amazing upgrade from my TIP2 and absolutely love it!

Comfortable to carry for Bouncers like me. Not bulky or long. Easily put in blazer pocket. Can also hang on belt. Perfect size for smart casual or formal attire everyday carry

Impressive compact size tactical light which can be brought Overseas in the plane , a must have for those who travel frequently as it is handy and easy to keep in the pocket or pouch. You will never know when you need to use it. 👍👍👍

Small, lightweight and powerful.

The EDC23 is small but powerful (bright).

One of my favourite and the best EDC Flashlight

This EDC 23 light is good for use in a dark area like in the movie theatre don't have to switch high mode. Best part I like was the strobe light which is good use during surprised encounters. Best part got a OLED display indicating how much battery left and also which mode I am selecting the light. Overall I like this design compact and the switch locked to prevent accidental switch on the light.

Handfull but powerfull in the graps of the hand.Buy or Regret.

So small yet so powerful. It will be a handy EDC companion or for all travellers. The flat format is great for sliding into pockets, hang bags or a pouch. The info display is great plus the lock out helps prevent burning a hole in your pants or bags. Thanks to Ming Jie for recommending it!

Love this one. I've had it over a month and still haven't needed a recharge!!

Great quality flashlight

this is still my go-to light a perfect balance between brightness and chargeability and run time

The quick lock switch makes it very easy to unlock and use the flashlight and when finished, to lock it again. I especially like the size of the flashlight AND that it is FLAT. It makes it lie in the pants pocket without bulging. My wife liked how small the flashlight was and so I got one for her for Mother's Day. Mind you, she rolls her eyes on my flashlight fetish, but she's happy with this EDC23 because of its size and ease of use.

I have an EDC 25, 27 and 29 already, but wanted something smaller as a backup. If you're familiar with the other models of the EDC, this is more of the same in a smaller package. Not as bright as the larger models, but definitely bright enough for it's intended use.Built like a tank, very durable. It's not going to be damaged unless you damage it intentionally. Even then, it'll take a beating and still keep on ticking.USB C recharging is fast and easy.

My only criticism would be that it would be a much more useful light for me if the belt clip was flipped so that I could wear it on the bill of my caps for hands free capabilities. Otherwise, I think it's a great buy. It's compact but VERY bright. I'm considering purchasing another, more powerful model.

A excellent flashlight, holds a good charge and the bright button illuminates extremely well. Light, handy and good duration on the battery. Definitely a keeper

Good handy size, great light. Wish 1500 lumens operating time was a bit more

My new favorite EDC light. It's a great pocket everyday carry torch. Only two things I'm not keen on are the pocket clip, a quick replacement worked wonders, and the strobe feature, which I find useless; I would prefer just a turbo light button. Just keep in mind this is an EDC light and not a tactical light like Modlite or Surefire. You won't go wrong with this in your pocket

I love the flashlight. its small weighs nothing and fits in my pocket well. like any light when you have it on high for a long time it gets hot. the controls are easy to use and its made very well.

Great product, very glad I bought it
