At 13.5mm thick the EDC23 is around half the width of a conventional compact light. It lies flat in a trouser pocket, sits cleanly under a duty belt, and rides a shirt placket without printing.
At 102.8mm and 101g it carries like a folding knife rather than a torch, so it stays on you through a full shift instead of being left in the bag.
A real-time OLED readout. Always know what's left.
A multifunctional OLED display reads out the active brightness level, the live lumen output, battery voltage, and the runtime remaining at the current setting. You always know how much light and how much time you have left before you reach for it in the dark.
It also shows the lockout state at a glance, so you can confirm the light is safe before it goes in a pocket. The panel uses a thickened, shock-resistant design to survive daily knocks.
Built like a tool, not a gadget.
Stainless steel front and rear shells wrap a high-strength carbon-fibre reinforced frame, with an aluminium heat-dissipation plate down the centre. The result stays rigid against compression, twisting and bending, and shrugs off the scratches that come with pocket carry.
A PVD titanium coating keeps the finish looking sharp far longer than anodised aluminium on a light this slim.

Slim enough to forget
A 13.5mm profile sits flat where a 25mm tube bulges. It carries every day because you stop noticing it, which is the whole point of an EDC light.

2,500 lumens and 280 metres from a UHi 25 LED.
Twin NiteLab UHi 25 LEDs push 2,500 lumens on Turbo and throw a usable beam to 280 metres, which is a long reach for a light that hides in a shirt pocket. A clean, even white beam keeps faces, plates and detail reading true.
Five output levels cover the work, from a 15-lumen Ultralow that runs 39 hours up to the full Turbo burst, with a momentary STROBE on the mode button for a fast deterrent.
M-TURBO dual two-stage controls.
Two two-stage tactical buttons sit under the thumb. On the power button, a half press steps through brightness, a half-press-and-hold gives momentary low light, and a full press is on and off.
The mode button puts a half press straight to Turbo and a full press straight to STROBE, so maximum output and the strobe are one positive press away in a tense moment. Preset your starting brightness so the light comes on exactly where you want it.
Smart heat and safety management.
An Advanced Temperature Regulation (ATR) module and a semi-embedded aluminium heat plate keep the surface comfortable, so the EDC23 stays in the hand even after a long run on High.
A Sensor Protection function watches the front of the light. If it switches to High while pressed against fabric or a pocket lining, output steps down automatically to prevent overheating where you cannot see it.
Rapid Lock™ with two lockout modes.
A mini slide switch locks and unlocks the light in one motion. Semi Lock disables the power button while keeping Turbo and Strobe live on the mode button, ready for instant use. Full Lock disables both buttons for safe storage and carry.
The OLED confirms which lock state you are in, so the light never fires by accident in a bag and never leaves you locked out when you need it.
1,500mAh built in. Up to 39 hours.
A built-in 1,500mAh cell holds more capacity than most lights this size, which is how the EDC23 reaches 39 hours on Ultralow and still serves a full shift at working levels.
USB-C charging tops it from empty to full in about 1 hour 30 minutes from a 5V/2A source, so a quick charge between calls keeps it ready.

Is the battery replaceable?
The 1,500mAh cell is built in and recharges over USB-C, which is what lets the body stay 13.5mm thin with no battery tube. Top it up from a power bank or any USB-C source between uses.
What is the difference between the two lockout modes?
Semi Lock disables the power button while keeping Turbo and Strobe available on the mode button, so the light is locked against accidental everyday presses yet still ready for instant use. Full Lock disables both buttons for storage and transport.
Why did the brightness drop on its own?
Two systems can ease output back. ATR lowers it as the body warms during long high-output use and restores it as the light cools. Sensor Protection steps it down if the front is pressed against fabric on High, to prevent overheating in a pocket. Clear the obstruction or let it cool and full output returns.
